Woodworking By Adam was contacted to Replace the customers existing emergency exit stairs due to rot and water damage. The existing stringers were heavily rotted and had to be removed Woodworking By Adam replaced the damaged stringers with metal stringers to remove the chance of rotting in the future. We then replaced the rotted stair treads and railings with fresh pressure treated lumber.

Woodworking By Adam was contacted to replace the customers existing outdated front porch railings with brand new modern railings that strong and up to code. These railings are modular and can be sized to any porch, deck or staircase.

Woodworking By Adam was contacted to give the customers old deck a new life. Using the existing frame we replaced all deck boards with brand new pressure treated boards. We then enclosed the structure of the deck to keep animals out, and to give a beautiful look to this fresh deck/entryway. The stairs railings were replaced with metal stringers and wooden rails.

This client recently had their kitchen renovated to have an open concept. Unfortunately the wall that was removed was loading bearing and studs had to be left. This is when they reached out to have the unsightly studs covered with beautiful beam cladding stained to match their flooring. All secured using construction adhesive lap joints and hidden fasteners. For a clean screw free look!

The middle cladding sits ontop of two notches cut into the left and right cladding boards. This makes the middle board rest ontop of the two upright beams locking all parts in place.

Made of:
- Reclaimed Pine & Cedar Barn Boards
- Finished with a waterborne topcoat for a natural yet durable finish

Solid Ash Sprial Staircase Stair Treads

This client reached out looking to have 14 stair treads made for a spiral staircase in their house! They were looking to have the stair treads made from white ash trees on their property that had to be taken down due to the ash borer beetle. The client had the trees sawn into usable lumber and we reached out to our contacts to have it air and kiln dried. This made it ready to be turned into beautiful solid wood stairtreads.

The stairtreads were then installed stained and finished by their general contractor to match the millwork throughout the clients house.

Made of:
- White Ash
- Starbond CA Glue for crack filling
- PTEC wood filler for stainable crack filling.

This customer wanted a solid wood mantle, but unfortunately, could not remove the brick. To work around this, Woodworking By Adam handcrafted a solid wood form that could easily wrap around the existing mantle perfectly. Utilizing one piece of wood lengthwise allowed for a continuous grain across the whole length of the mantle. The mantle has been finished with Odies Oil for a beautiful and protective hard wax finish that can be easily reapplied.

Length - 76”
Depth - 6-7/8"
Height - 5.5"

Made of:
- Spalted maple
- Chill Epoxy's black epoxy pigment
- Starbond medium thick for crack filling
- Finished with Odies Oil
